Balances

Overview

Balances can be accessed from the sidebar menu by selecting the options Accounting > General Ledger > Balances

When first launching this option, you will view a message saying 'Account OR Account Type filter required.'. After filling out on of these two filters, the data will begin to populate in the grid below.

Filtering

There are four filters on this screen: 

  1. Facility Filter: This is located at the top of the page. You can choose to select certain facilities or all facilities that the user has access to. 
  2. Year Filter: This defaults to the current year, but you can manually input any year. 
  3. Account Type Filter: ie. Asset, Equity, Expense, Liability, Revenue
  4. Account Filter: This dropdown has a list of all accounts. 
The grid will have the following data: 
Account Number, Name & Total Balance
When the data populates, you will see a list of accounts. There's a - to the left of the Account Number; clicking this will close the grid, only showing the Account Number, Name, & Total Balance. 
Year Period
Clicking this will open the Audit for that Year Period & Account.
Starting
Starting Balance
Net Change
The total amount that changed from Start of Period to End. 
Balance
Total Balance for that Period.
